Greetings from Washington
Just moved to Washington from Boise, Idaho. Have always kicked around the idea of getting a straight razor and finally made the leap. I've been lurking and soaking information. Have some questions, so decided I better make an account.

I live in Vancouver, Washington (salmon creek area). If any experienced members live in this area, who don't mind teaching newbs, I'd really appreciate seeing firsthand how to refresh my dovo straight razor using the Naniwa 12k superstone. I'd bring you a cigar ; )

Welcome to the forum!
I think there are a few members in the Spokane area. There is a link somewhere on the site that will let you search the membership by location. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Welcome to SRP, Brendan! I'm one of the Spokane members, but we are certainly far apart from one another. One of our moderators / mentors, Razorfeld, lives near the Portland area if I'm not mistaken (Forest Grove). Maybe send him a PM to see if you guys might get together to discuss straight razor shaving et al.
Of course, don't hesitate to ask any questions that come to mind. The forum membership is extremely friendly and helpful with our adventurous newcomers.Last edited by Speedster; 06-23-2017 at 10:38 PM. Reason: added specificity
