Yes, Welcome. And find Lynn. I used to live in that area but got tired of the heat. Was there around the time of the big flood in 93 I think it was. Enjoy the forum. Read the library and get to that 100+ shaves and you will be set.

Thanked: 1I remember the Flood of '93. We did a lemonade stand to raise money for flood victims. I remember going downtown to the Arch and seeing the water up the steps. They have a little plaque that shows how high the water was. It is crazy.
Definitely different than the floods of 2015 and 2017. When you look at where the rivers crest and try to imagine that much water...

I never seen the plaque but herd about it. Used to watch concerts under the arch in the park. The good times. Lots of alcohol and drugs so don't remember a lot but oh the fun I had. Left the first wife in St. Charles. Never turn back after that. Good luck and enjoy the forum. Great guys here that are happy to answer any stupid question you think you need to ask. but read the library as it might answer some of them.

Welcome from another St. Louisan...kinda. I'm in the northern JeffCo area so please PM me if there is anything I can help you with. I'm fairly new to the hobby but in some ways that's of benefit to you since my mistakes are still fresh in my memory.
Good choice on the Shumate razors! I began a collection of them due to the StL origin as well, a decision that was backed up by all the love that Glenn has shown for them around here. I have about a half dozen at this point and every one of them is a nice shaver. My favorite is probably the full hollow, smiler, Tungsteel.Knowledge is power. Power corrupts.

I'm in the Byrnes Mill/High Ridge area and I remember you telling me that your dad is near Hillsboro. I'm out that way quite a bit during the school year as I spend most of my time as a substitute in the DeSoto district and I've been spending an increasing amount of the days that I'm not there in Hillsboro.
I believe that the other new guy from the area...I can't recall his handle at present, is in St. Charles.
@COMPNOR - Nice to meet you too! As I said before, if there is anything I can do for you, let me know.Last edited by GreenRipper; 07-10-2017 at 04:51 PM.
