Thanked: 0Hello from Ontario, Canada
Hello!
I started shaving about 3 years ago with a shavette, and loved it immediately. Bought an old Boker King Cutter and 3000/8000 stone soon after and realized I love honing and enjoy some light restoration work as well. I've been a lurker on this site for about 2 years enjoying the wealth of knowledge available here but I'm happy to finally be joining and posting something

Welcome, there is lots of knowledge here for the lurkers (I know I used to be one) but when you join you can ask questions and get much more specific knowledge.
If you already shave with a shavette you should be fine with a straight providing that you have a good edge on it.
Enjoy.Fact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

Aloha!
Amazing wealth of knowledge here, as you already know. I've been wet shaving for decades including straight razors, and I still seem to learn something new every day while perusing this forum.
Enjoy.

Thanked: 0I'm down in the St. Catharines area. Unfortunately I will be out of province on that date, but thanks for the info, I'll definitely keep my eye out for similar events!
