Hi, welcome on the forum.
It is worldwide the same. Ebay can be a good thing, sometimes but not for beginner. Websites like Ali and Amaz on are too tricky, even for experts. You can find good SR online from real (non virtual) stores that also have a web site. You have also handcraft makers, it is not cheap ...
My favourite is a belgian model made in 1905.
Beginning with a second hand one, mostly third or fourth hand in fact because when a man bought a new one, he used to give his old one to his son, so beginning with a cheap 2nd hand one let you learn the practice, then you buy another one quite different to check full hollow, quarter, near wedge, round or french point, 5/8 or 7/8 blade etc.
Be patient before ordering a new one.

Have fun and don't get to obsessed with any or all parts of the hobby or you'll end up spending a ton and the wife will undoubtedly kick your ass. Be safe.
