I'm full blooded Italian..........and I'm still full blooded. Welcome to the fold. Straight shaving is the most relaxing part of my day. Soon it will be yours too.

Welcome from SE Washington State USA
You are embarking on learning an age old art that is well worth the time to learn.
It has quite the learning curve but once semi mastered provides a satisfaction that I can't describe. But as bluesman7 has said, it is very relaxing and i will add 'enjoyable.'
My best advice is to #1 Have Patience! For without Patience you will become frustrated and probably give up. #2 Start with a truly Shave Ready Razor (stay away from Ebay and people that sharpen knives) #3 Go Slow, take your time, it's not a race #4 listen to the 'Experienced' Members counsel. #5 ALWAYS REMEMBER #1!Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.
