Hi and welcome aboard. You have already been given great advice about a razor. Hopefully coming from a de you already use a good brush and soap and have got lathering sorted.
Trying to hone first is a good way to spend a decent amount of money for frustration and poor shaves. You will want 4 hones and spent a good while to get a very average shaving blade.
As said learning to shave and understanding what a shave ready blade feels like is the place to start then you can simply maintain them with 1 hone.Last edited by eddy79; 11-29-2017 at 03:27 AM.
