Greetings From East Texas
Hello All,
I've been lurking for quite some time and finally decided to make myself known. I was given wet shaving gear (a straight, strop, brush, bowl and brush) in the late '80s and shaved with it for a short time but I was always in a hurry and set it aside. I was going through some boxes about a year ago and came across my shaving gear and decided since I'm retired with time I would give it another try. Decided I liked it but needed more information and ended up here. Been lurking and learning since July.Hello A
I'm now up to three razors and two brushes with another razor and brush on the way. Revealed myself only to let y'all know that I really didn't need another interest to cost me $$$ and to ask if there is a Shavers Anonymous Support Group on this site? Need to nip this in the bud before it develops into an addiction.

Too late! Your addicted and its a deep hole you have fallen into. Just go ahead and start restoring razors, Collecting all type and knot and hairs of brushes and dont forget to over load a cabinet full of soaps.
Its OK. You will just fit in with the most of us then.
Oh, And welcome to SRP, you Lurker. It's just Sharpening, right?

If you're in Texas you should have some really big razors over there, right?

Hello and welcome to SRP.
This is a bottomless rabbit hole you've fallen into. Once you know what a great straight shave is, there's no turning back. Sit back and enjoy the ride and your time here on the forum.

Welcome to the forum, make yourself at home. Regarding your addiction, it's called RAD (razor acquisition disorder) some of the members have it worse than others but we all have it.
