it turns out that the razor is older than I imagined, it is quite possible that my grandfather got it from her father. It would be interesting to know the history of this thing.

Thanked: 8Im not at all very good at searching for this information. But since I dont get that much of information searching for the name i would say its a small manufacturer. You should try to get it cleaned up and then find someone that can hone it. Maybe even start to try using it. Shaving with gear that you know your grandfather or grandfathers father used is a great feeling!

Thanked: 0I completely agree. When I was looking for at least some hints of this manufacturer, I was completely sure that it was a VERY small production.
That's exactly what I'll do. It would be foolish to get rid of the thing that has remained in the family for so many generations. I will definitely bring this shaver in order and I'll start to using it.

Thanked: 174Acier Fondu has a couple of beautiful razors of the same manufacture listed as mid-19-th century. No other info that I'm aware of.
