New Guy
Hello all, new forum member here.
I'm also new to the straight razor world. I started out wet shaving back in the summer and soon found that I couldn't beat the Merkur Futur/Feather blade combo.
Once shaving with a fully dialed-up Futur became routine, I moved on to a Feather AC DX. That was and still is a challenge, but the shaves became enjoyable when I stopped drawing blood so it was inevitable that I would join the ranks of straight razor users.
I now have a Ralf Aust 6/8 French point. I also have a restored 13/16 W&B on order off eBay from Mainely Straight Razors. Can't wait for that one to arrive.
I'm looking forward to learning some tricks and tips from the group and gaining a bit of proficiency over the coming months!

Welcome to SRP.
You will find that learning the straight razor take much longer than learning the DE. Just take your time, shave the lather not the face and dont worry if you dont get a bbs shave. Comfort is key. It's just Sharpening, right?

Be welcome here! This is a group of guys/gals working together to enjoy each other and the information shared.
Good choice on the Feather, a nice shaver and the muscle memory will really help with the Ralf Aust. I liked and love both razors!
Be well and prosper!
