Welcome. Glad to have another oldtimer in the group. We have a lot of them and they are very helpful and kind folk. I too spent some time in S.C. Fort Jackson.
If you have any questions about ANYTHING just find the right place to post it and someone will be happy to help or comment. We talk about a lot of stuff. Not just S.R. shaving. Share some pictures as we love pics and be sure to get in the Shave of the Day. You will find a lot of grand pics of shave equipment there. We are all crazy for shaving with Straights, but it makes the chore a lot more enjoyable. Even if we might be crazy to other folks. It's just Sharpening, right?

So you see it's never too late to learn an older but better way of shaving.

Like it is said, it's never too late to learn something new. But I'm more of the old dog, new tricks school of thinking.
