    Default Greetings from Argentina

Hi everyone! new menber from the far south, Bariloche in Argentina. I'm kind of new to wet shaving, I must admit. Last week i finally decided to give it a go to straight razors and I bought an old razor+stone set from the local eBay for 20 bucks, probably someone's grandfather set. It was a solingen steel straight razor, with an argentinian maker markings. The stone was all greasy, but after cleaning it I had the pleasant surprise that it was a coticule. I already set the bevel, hone it, strop it (I made a leather strop) and shave my cheeks a couple of times (baby steps). I hope this is only the beginning! I do have a slight *addiction* to buy old things to restore.
    Cheers!

Nice razor and in good shape.
You are off to a good start knowing you have to take baby steps. Before long you will have a bunch of razors, hones, strops and brushes. Probably a half dozen soaps or so.

Welcome to the forum from Atlanta!
Great to see new members from other countries.

Nice score! Get that coti lapped good and flat if it isn't already. Make sure your blade is really shave ready.
Is it possible the blade was made in Solingen for an Argentine company??
