    Welcome to SRP!!!!!!

You're in the right place to learn all you need to know. Also check out the Shave Library there is a ton of info in there. You've been given great advise so far.

    Have fun and enjoy!!!!

Thanks for all the additional welcomes. My fabric practice strop is now assembled! Thanks to @Euclid440 for the tips and @cudarunner for the material.

Rudimentary but should work. Used some of that fusing/hem/bond tape stuff and a little paracord.

    Looking good.

I would suggest to replace the para cord or whatever with perhaps a piece of wooden dowel or such to give a bit more support to help keep it flatter across the material.

You do have the proper way to hold the other end/that will help prevent cupping and thus keep the material flatter.

I did send you more material than you needed so you can still play a bit.

    Welcome to SRP.
This a great bunch of guys who will help in most any way they can.
I always suggest focusing on beard prep, shaving angle/pressure (none) and shaving technique.

I was originally hoping to get a D ring for the end but had a hard time finding one that wide. Hadn't consider a dowel, I'll have to see what if I can rig something up that has a little more rigidity.
