Thanked: 0Hello from sunny London UK
Hi all,
I've been using a straight razor for about a year now and recently jumped into the rabbit hole of Honing.
This site has been a good source of info thus far so I thought it about time to become a member.
Regards
James

Welcome James. Post some pics of your razors and ask any questions you would like about honing. We enjoy helping. You about to embark on a long twisty road that will take many many months of learning if you going to start honing. Just dont give up. And id recommend synthetic stones to start. Leave the natural stones alone for now.

Thanked: 0Thank you!
I will certainly post some pics soon of a razor that is giving me a major headache (I've walked away from it for now),
I think I may have killed it permanently but I'm sure some of you guys will be able to advise me on that!
currently have a Naniwa SS 1,5,8,12k and want to get proficient with those before buying more stones. I'm having mixed results and have a few posts in the pipe line...
thank you all for the warm welcome

Great start on hones! Now, buy 20 natural stones and 200 razors and you will fit right in.

Thanked: 3228Always good to walk away from honing when it gets frustrating.
