Thanked: 0Greetings from London, U.K.
Hello Everyone,
I’ve been lurking around here for quite a while and finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a straight razor.
I hope I can find a good place here in the U.K., online or otherwise to buy what I need.
Best regards,
Darek

Thanked: 1081Hi Darek,
Welcome to SRP!
If you haven't already done so check out the library https://shavelibrary.com/ you won't go too far wrong if you follow the advice.
For soaps, creams, lotions and potions I use:
https://www.theenglishshavingcompany.com/
https://connaughtshaving.com/
For new razors like Boker, Dovo and Thiers Issard check out:
https://www.theinvisibleedge.co.uk/
For vintage:
https://www.edge-dynamics.com/about-us
You can also find some great beginner razors on SRP https://sharprazorpalace.com/buy-sell-trade/
Another route is EBay then get a pro honer to make it shave ready.
Have fun, you'll love it.

Welcome Darek. Some great suggestions there. I second Connaught shaving, very competitive prices, even with shipping from the UK to Canada.
There are some very knowledgeable members from the UK on this forum. You might want to consider reaching out for a hands on tutorial, it will surely flatten the learning curve.

Shoot you can always wander down to Jermyn Street. Taylor's of Old Bond Street is somewhat famous for their gear (and will have new Dovo razors to sell). You'll pay for it though.
Vintage razors are at least the equal of new razors... there are several members who sell excellent ones on the "Buy/Sell/Trade" forum for reasonable prices. Bonus: They will come with a better edge than a factory razor (whether a factory razor has a shaveable edge is a source of contention...).Last edited by HungeJ0e; 03-11-2020 at 02:10 PM.
