Thread: Hello from Ireland

My name is Russell I am originally from the UK but I live in Ireland, I have been into DE shaving for a couple of years , a couple of months ago a good friend from another forum gave me a Straight Razor he had prepared for me on his Jnats , and I have been having a lot of fun learning about straight razors and how to shave with one.

It is fair to say I am pretty hooked and trying to learn a lot about Straight Razor Shaving , Honing etc.

Welcome. Learn to shave and strop and leave the hones alone for now. Learning on a pro honed razor is a must when starting out. Not on one you hope is sharp.

Greetings Russell from a fellow enthusiast in Florida. Hope you find on SRP the information that helps you succeed. It's definitely here. Make sure to check out the beginner's section for lots of tips and good advice. Also the shave library is full of good information. Probably a good idea to read the site rules through well. It's basically what you would expect: no defamation, nothing inflammitory or offensive but certain things you may not think of. For instance we don't do valuations as some members are in the business and it could be a conflict of interest.
Be sure to post some pictures. We love pictures. Go slow, have fine and ask questions if you don't find what you are looking for.
