Aloha BlueNote. Welcome. We have something in common. I am a huge Jazz Fan, and a medium Blues Fan. I have about 2,000 Jazz Vinyl albums, and about 3 or 4,000 FLAC Jazz and Blues files. Many Bluenote albums of course, but also a great deal of Contemporary, London, Muse, Jazzland, Capital (six eye), and many others. I enjoy everything from Big Band to Classic Jazz to Contemporary Jazz. My current new passion is Vintage Jazz on 78 shellac discs. Early Jazz from the 20s and 30s.
Enjoy the forum!

Hi ZIP
Congratulations on your Jazz & Blues collection. I too loved the Big Bands (Count Basie, Duke Ellington etc. etc.) then I arrived in Coltrane and Ornette Coleman, I plunged into the incredible fantasies of Miles Davis to land on the harmonic and melodic lines of Keith Jarrett (listened to several times in Italy, evidently despite his rough temper, Keith loves Italy).
I think I'll be fine here.Never Call Your Broker On Monday

Great choices my friend. Coltrane, Davis, Ellington, Basie. All greats. Combine them with Woody Herman, Coleman Hawkins, Theloneous Monk, and Charlie Parker (Bird) and now you're really groovin'. I also like the West Coast Cool Jazz sounds of legends like Chet Baker, Art Pepper, and of course Dave Brubeck. I could go on for a long time. There is not much about Jazz that I do not like. I'm a student of the genre and have read dozens of books on the history of Jazz. Jazz is great music for shaving. In fact, I'm currently digging some Art Blakey (A Night in Tunisia). I may have to post a Shave of the Day to match this great cut of Live Jazz;

Welcome Giuliano. Glad to have you with us. Love to see some pictures of your other gear.
I too enjoy the aforementioned artists but most of all I am a huge Ella Fitzgerald fan on the jazz side. On the blues and soul side I especially appreciate Ray Charles but also a James Brown fan.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17
