Hi everyone and a massive thankyou for your guidance and responses. I am very taken aback at how welcoming you all are. Great advice and I am going to pay someone to restore it. I may have mislead you in my original post. The razor I posted was a very recent acquisition, £5 from a flea market in Chesterfield. The original Razor that was my Dads was a Gotta. I have attached a before and after for those who are interested. The restoration was done by Huw Pierce Pritchard in Wales but sadly he is no longer working Razors. Again big thanks for your interest and welcome.Name: dad.jpg

It's the little things like names scratched into scales that can mean the most. The blade does look like it has been replaced.

Hi guys yeah you are correct the blade did need to be replaced I had to go out and buy another gotta razor to replace the blade so I then had to get a blade to go with the scales so I ended up chasing it round and now about 5 Gotta razors. !

I haven't been on the forum much for the last few weeks. So I'm a little late with this. But welcome to SRP!
