Thanked: 0Hello from Spain!
Hi pals, I am Peter. Well, Piotr, actually because I am from Poland, but over 14 years already living and working in Spain in Mediterranean Coast (Costa Blanca, Alicante region, 15 minutes from the beach) enjoying the live without snow and frost, where the summer lasts the bigger part of the year
I am straight razor shaver and also I am doing the honing services for myself (by now). Wet shaving is my hobby, my first wet shave with DE safety razor took place about 40 years ago(!), but since October 2020 I am with straight razor, almost exclusively. I like it very much, but to get more information about and to raise my honing capacities to the next level I decided t register on this forum. My principles and honing first steps was yellow Coticule stone and BBW. In general I prefer natural honing stones, but I owe also a few ceramic ones, because IMHO they can be useful sometimes.
I hope to enjoy my stay here with you and to get saturated with valuable information, which is very important for me and for my honing capacities.
Really pleased to be here!
Have a nice day everybody!Last edited by GatoLoco; 12-06-2021 at 11:07 AM.

Welcome aboard, Pete.
A bunch of us play with rocks, here. Mostly a combination of synthetic and naturals.
We can teach you edge and blade restoration, to general touch-ups. I like doing total restorations, myself, I take great satisfaction in all the work needed to bring them back to life.
Done all by hand, so no need for special, electrical tools.
Just elbow grease and time.
Enjoy the forumMike

Hello Piotr and welcome to SRP!
On the contrary, I am Greek and planning to retire after some years in Russia in order to enjoy the beautiful long winters, the healthy frost and the rejuvenating snow. I am fed up with these long Mediterranean summers all my life. Today it is the 6th of December and we still have 17 degrees Celsius! Horror!
