Thanked: 1Introduction
Hello SRP,
hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been straight shaving for about a week now and absolutely love it. I have gone from someone who would shave about once a week and dread it to someone who looks forward to my time in front of the sink and mirror.
I know i have not perfected this art since i am still missing spots and getting a little burn, still struggling with getting the lather right, and having a hard time shaving with my left hand! But even with the mediocre job I am doing it is still better than any other shave i have ever experienced.
I am always willing to listen to any advise that anyone can offer.
Thanx,
jeb

Welcome to SRP Jeb. I know the feeling of going from shaving being a PITA to a labor of love. If you haven't already been there check out the SRP Wiki here. You may find some tutorials and videos that may help smooth the road ahead for you.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Welcome!
Keep at the left hand, it will come to you in time and you won't even know that your using your "off" hand!

Welcome to SRP Jeb. Glad you are enjoying your shaves and joined SRP. As noted above it gets better with time and practice. It took me a while to get the hang of it and I am having a ball! Keep your pressure to a bare minimum and be alert to your angle. Have someone monitor your angles as you shave and you'll get there faster.
