    Default Hello from Michigan

    Hey guys I'm Dan and just getting started in straight razor shaving. I lurked around this website for a day or two and just now registered.

    I've been wanting a straight razor for almost a year now but haven't ponied up the cash for something I may not even like. Well , after cleaning out my grandfathers place I came across a straight razor! I do not believe it to be sharp enough but could be my technique. After reading how beginners usually screw up their first blades and/or strops, I decided to get my own and keep his as an heirloom.

    Oh sure. Figured I should add pictures but did not get around to it. I have to get off to work so when I get home tonight I will take and post pictures.

    BTW the new razor I bought is a Dovo best quality 5/8'' half-hollow in blond.
