Good afternoon,
Guess I better introduce myself. I've been using a Str8 off an on for 10 yrs or so but have taken to using everyday now. I did not realize there was such a group for this sort of thing. A couple months ago I aquired an Iwasaki 1 from SRD and really gotten some BBS shaves with it. Plus it is fun to use. I'm still working on doing better around my chin area. That razor forms a suction to your face it shaves so close. I can only assume that is a good thing.
I found out Nun2Sharp is a neighbor of mine and will probalby get with him some time in the future for honing guidance. I did not realize it but he was the guy driving around town in the van that advertizes "2 Guys and a Hone". I look forward to shaving as a many have stated and find myself now trying for that ever perfect shave place where no stubble is allowed. Lunch time is over, back to work. Have a nice day folks.
SIncerely;
Mike

Welcome to SRP! I'm also quite confident you'll like it here... it's a nice little enclave where we support each other in our manic search for the ultimate shave.

Thanks guy's
We got a bleeder!.. While working on what is so far the best BBS shave I have had with my Iwasaki 1 this morning, caught a nick on my left upper cheek. Col Conks Styptic pencil stanched it. yay. Puttied it up and good to go.
Need to slow down the process. I'm still experimenting with hold technique with the Japanese straight. I am right handed and this thing is freaky sharp. Have a nice day gents.
