Thanked: 5A Razor Inheritance
Hello everyone,
I've recently gotten into the art of shaving like a real man. Always something I wanted to do but never had the $ to invest in it. Well recently, we cleaned out my Grandparent's old condo after they moved and I inherited my Grandfathers old shaving equipment.
I received thinning shears, one single edge safety razor, one double edge safety, and four straight razors, one of which my great grandfather made out of an old wood file.
I just started using the double edge safety (need a good brush and cream now) and I plan on working my way up to the straights, once I restore them.
I can't wait to dive in!

What a great inheritance....I've got my great-grandad's razor as well and use it from time to time. Make sure to read the wiki on shaving techniques and have those razors restored and honed up and you should be on your way
Pics of your cache is always nice too...hint...hint.

Welcome to SRP . The one your grand dad made out of the file is really cool. The Union cutlery is a good brand but if the scale is cracked at the pivot may need to be replaced. Looks like it in the photo. I think I can make out Torrey on the frameback ? Good looking razor whatever it may be. The Herkules looks a little worse for wear. Nice stuff to start with once honed up.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 5Embed pics?
For some reason, when I try to embed the pics, I always get the broken pic icon. Any ideas?
Also am currently uploading 21 more pics of my cache. Close ups and details of each razor. See my photostream on flickr here:
