Found this site after reading a newspaper article. It makes sense to use a straight razor from a "green" point of view.

Been shaving with a double edged razor. The replacement cartridges are very expensive. Then I discovered disposable double edge razors. I can buy a dozen of these for about a third of the cost for ten replacement cartridges.

I don't like the disposal part. These things are going to end up in a landfill. The less I leave in a landfill the better.

I discovered on here, that you just can't go out and buy a straight razor. You need to find one that is "shave ready".

How do you get a new straight razor shave ready?
