Thread: Hello from Denver

Hi everyone! I need to start by thank you all for building such a tremendous resource. In the past week or so since I joined I have discovered articles, techniques and advice that have saved me so much money and heart break and most of all face. (yep I punned... that was me... sorry)

My grand father taught me how to shave w/ a straight razor but of course in my younger days I hated shaving in all it's forms since my face would break out almost on cue. Suffice to say I caved in to consumerdom and went the way of blue goop and silver plastic.
It wasn't until a few months ago when my wife bought me some shaving soaps for my birthday that the bug bit me and big time. After being reunited with quality I seemed to have jumped in with both feet and now find myself with 4 razors (thanks Stefan for that kick ass Torrey by the way!), a plethora of soaps, oils and a tendency to visit this site daily.

I've suffered from acquisition syndromes of various types; I'm at least happy that my wife's inability to keep her hands off of my face is the result of my latest one.

I am THRILLED to be a part of this!
