HI Scott,
I'm living in Canton, Ohio myself. I've just gotten into the shaving thing, staring off with the DE and looking to progress to SR. What's your shop called and where is it? Maybe I'll stop in for a shave sometime.

Hello Scott...Welcome to SRP.
Its good to have a Buckeye onboard. Although I now live next door in Indiana, I went college in Ohio in a town south of you called Granville.

Hi Scott and welcome to SRP. Many members in Ohio including the founder, Lynn Abrams. As a barber, assuming that you do shaves, you could probably answer a question I have been wondering about. Is there a great deal of difference in the toughness of whiskers between individuals ? I assume there must be but having never shaved anyone but myself I don't know for sure.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 3Yes we do shaving at my shop and we were recently fortunate enough to have an article in the local newspaper on the lost art of old fashioned straight razor shaves. Here's a link to my website with a copy of the article Market Heights Home .
In answer to your question, I've found there is a big difference in the texture of beards, from very coarse to very fine and in between. Varies between people, I guess just like the hair on your head... Thanks, for the welcome.
PS.. website's a little rough, trying to work on it..Last edited by hghtsbrb; 02-13-2010 at 02:27 AM.
