Greetings from Norway
Hello Gentlemen!
I just wanted to pop in and say hi.
I have just bought a straight razor and I am surfing around this great forum for advice on how to go forward.
Funny thing, this internet.
A year ago I bought a new toyota prius, and immediately I went online hoping to find at least a few pointers on how to drive it the most efficient way possible.
What i found was a plethora of nice people with great advice and tips, in a forum similar to this
Now that I have bought myself a SR, I am very excited about this place, and am looking forward to get to know both the fine art of shaving and you guys.

Greetings Birnando--and welcome to SRP.
If you're looking for information abut how to use your new str8 razor, you've certainly come to the right place. Consult the wiki first. Then there are the various forums where you can find a wealth of information posted by SRP members. Both SRP resources will provide you with knowledge about basic equipment, stropping, pre and post-shave preparation, etc. to make your str8 razor shaving experience an enjoyable one.
BTW...You may want to check the wiki to see if your new str8 razor is on the list of str8 razor manufacturers that make the grade. You can save yourself a lot of frustration and an unpleasant shaving experience with this one simple step.
Take care and happy shaving..."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
