hi from Chesterfield UK
As the title says im from Chesterfield UK and so new to straight razors that i dont even have one yet !
I've been lurking here for just one week but i've been interested in straight razors for some time now. Im currently unemployed with chronic back pain and it's unlikely that i'll work again so i occupy my time with the internet and finding things that interest me.
I have shaved, my head as well as my beard, for probably the last 15yrs and like most people i hate having to pay so much for my razors. I dont know if anyone here does their entire head with a straight razor it would be interesting to know if anyone has tried.
So this is my short introduction hope my stay is an enjoyable one

Hi From Chesterfield UK
Hello, Ian:
Welcome to SRP and the world of straight razor shaving. Please look around the site for tons of information, especially in the Wiki.
Also, I am sure several SRP members are head shavers, too. If you have a question, post it and you'll have your answer in to time at all.
I am sorry to hear you're unemployed — between engagements. Keep your chin up. You never know, your dream job might be just around the corner.
Regards,
Obie

Ian,
From across the pond, welcome to SRP...
Sorry to hear about your injured back. Having had a back injury myself, I know how painful it can be. Praying that you'll get better.
As the previous posts by SRP members indicate, you can find most every answer to your questions in the SRP wiki. If the answer is not there, it may be in one of the forums.
Again, welcome aboard and happy shaving.
