Hello dkbarnes,
Welcome to SRP. I grew up in St. Louis, MO, but now live in Indiana.
If you're looking for information that will help easse your transition into str8 razor shaving you've certainly come to the right place. SRP's wiki is a good place to start. If you can't find your answer there, then you can always consult the forums. If that doesn't work, then you can post a thread in one of the forums. SRP members love to weigh in to offer helpful advice to newbies.
If you're looking to purchase a str8 razor there is a "Classified's" section where members offer excellent deals on quality vintage and new str8 razors as well as other shaving items. The vendors who advertise here, such as Straight Razor Designs and Vintage Blades, also offer some nice package deals on razor strop combination sets. What's best about their razors and those in the "Classifieds" is that they are professionally honed or pre-sharpened for use before they are shipped.
Take care and welcome again to SRP...Last edited by jhenry; 02-18-2010 at 01:11 AM.

Welcome to SRP. As Sham (hi_bud_gl) said you're in his neck of the woods and Kelly (nun2sharp) also. So you're in good hands if you team up with those gentlemen.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
