Thanked: 0Hail, from the Great White North!
Hey SRP,
I've been lurking these forums on and off for the past three months and I finally got around to making an account.
I'm coming to you from just below the Arctic Circle in beautiful and balmy Nunavut, Canada! I'm actually from just outside of Toronto but I've been relocated up here because of my job.
I've had an interest in straight-razors for a few years, but never really seriously pursued it that much. My fiancee has known that for a while, and last Christmas she bought me my first straight!
I still haven't used it yet though. But that's why I'm here!
Please have patience with me, because I will probably ask all the same questions you guys have gotten before, plus a million other ones you thought were too stupid for anyone to ask to begin with.

Hi and welcome.
Well, if you have been lurking for months you probably know that the Wiki is a good place to start...

Welcome to SRP and good luck with your new straight razor. BTW, you really should make sure it is shave ready. If the vendor didn't make it so perhaps sending it out for honing would be a good idea.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
