    Stick with MAAS or Flitz...Brasso is too abrasive for your razor.

    Have you tried EvapoRust? That should take care of the rust without ruining any of the gold since it's non acidic.
    Ive learned a few years ago that many times, people who work for a manufacturer of something know less about their product than their customers. Many people who buy Dovo razors use and care for straights all the time, as well as read a fair amount of literature on them or restore them. A person who works for the company may have only read a few points that will allow them to make sales. This is not always the case though, many employees of companies(I don't mean just razors) truly know the product and can answer anything about them. Those are just my findings though.
