    Smile Hello Guy's

hello guy's I'm InsecureSpike or Spike
i signed up to the forum s a fair few months ago now,
and just finally making my first post....

over the past year or so i've been gettin to grips with DE shaving,
as i can do my face & head with the same (good) blade at the same time,

but i've been yearning to learn to shave like a TRUE GENTLEMAN, with a Straight for a few months now,

i'm now waiting on the arrival of a Dubl, Duck Dwarf,
now my missus won me it on ebay a a little surprise costing her £16/$24,
    heres a few snaps,

i hope a few of you Gent's here could find the time & give some feed back with what i should do with the scales etc, as i'm a novice

    Thanks for Your time

    Spike

Hey Spike, good to have you here at SRP... The first thing with I'd do is get that razor honed and give it a shave. While it is out being honed you can go over all of the wiki info and get a game plan for how your first shave will go.

As for the scales, unless there is something wrong that I can't see, I'd leave them alone (or maybe a quick rubdown with some Maas and a cloth). If you are wanting new scales, check out the classifieds under the member services section.

    Again, welcome to SRP

    Cheers
    Dave

welcome to the site. the scales look fine to me also just have it honed up by a pro and enjoy. as Del1r1um says do some reading here and ask ?'s if you can't seem to find what your looking for. There is a wealth of good info here.

    Hey Spike,

Obie, Del1r1um, avatar1999, gssixgun, Lynn, the gentleman who started this site and others of their standing, (mentors/advisors, etc.,), helped me alot in the beginning...saved me a lot of time, probably money, etc., so whenever they post something, you can bet it is right on.

Aside from that, an enjoyable place to shoot the breeze, get ideas from people with a common interest...very fine group of guys. Welcome!
