Hello my straight razor brethren. I guess it's better late than never.....
Hello all. My name is Alan, and I'm a straight razor enthusiast from California. I'm actually not a new member, I have been a member since 06, however due to an illness, I was inactive for about 3 years. I had to change my email address and forgot my username/password so I had to sign up again. So without further ado......
I really love this whole straight razor shave experience. I'm just now getting good at it and my last 5 shaves have been amazing. I am slowly mastering handling the razor and I also have realized the importance of my preshave ritual. I would like to thank Lynn Abrams, Mainaman, DeBerlin, Sapito and Maximillian who have directly assisted me via email/phone calls. They were always quick to respond and were very interested in helping me and sincere. I would like to thank everyone else who have indirectly helped via your threads. The information gleaned from reading was extremely helpful. I look forward to continuing this obsession of mine and, maybe one day I can recipricate. I'm a disabled combat veteran, and I recognize the value of a network of friends. Thanks for everything. Be safe and shave on.Last edited by Alan12; 03-24-2010 at 07:11 PM.

Let me be among the first to say welcom back. Sorry to hear that you have had a health situation to deal with but it sounds like your doing better now. I'm in full agreement with you as I've noticed from early on that this is truly one amazing group of individuals and I'm haappy to say that I'm a part of it.

Welcome back to SRP and I hope you've had a full recovery from your illness.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
