New Guy checking in
Just a new guy to the whole Straight Razor scene. Currently using DE Merkurs and am just looking to learn. I've got a Parker SRB inbound and am looking to get my feet wet with it. (I know it's not a "Real" srtaight, but I figured it's a start.)
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Welcome to SRP Bruce. Check out the SRP Wiki beginner's guide here and make sure to read SRP founder Lynn Abrams recommendations for the first straight razor shave. Feel free to ask any questions that come up along the way. Many members here like to help out. Nice avatar, I'm a pipe smoker myself as are some other members on SRP.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks again to all, especially for the encouragement. I just received my Parker SRB and am very apprehensive to proceed with a shave. I'm used to DEs and was surprised as to how different the mechanics are. (just did a dry run with it...) I will follow the advice of the beginners section, and start out with the cheeks in the morning.
