Thanked: 5No blood, yet
My straight razor journey began about a year ago when I started nosing around shops for one. With no success
Until this past March I was presented with a beautiful George W. Korn "Comet" razor. I do not yet know how to express details on razors. But this one appears to be in very good condition with minute spots on the tang.
I've also just acquired two H. Boker razors, a "King Cutter" and an "Edelweiss".
So the adventure begins. I enjoy using my razor (despite having a beard) and look forward to this very impressive website and honing my knowledge and skill.
regards, Samuel

Hello, Samuel:
You're doing fine so far. I have both Bokers you mention and they are fine razors. You cannot ask for a better start. Stay with it.
By the way, welcome to Straight Razor Place. We are delighted you have joined us.

Welcome Samuel! good to meet you... I'd just like to warn you about entering the dangerous waters of restoration... soon you'll be doing deals with the resto spirits to learn the secrets of the trade few men ever return the same way after looking down that path
It's just too much fun to ever go back!
Good to have you, let us know if we can help

Thanked: 5Sure will Steve,
I will have to do some quick photoshoots to get the pics up.
by the way, is it kosher to use first names? Or should I use usernames?

Thanked: 5pics are up
Okay so here are my blades (at least the relatively useable ones). Please forgive my photography skills.
My primary is the Geo W. Korn Comet,
And so far the Bokers need honing (though they all could use it.)
Also, the King Cutter has a fractured scale on the pivot pin. I'm thinking I need to disassemble it to epoxy and polish it up.
Does anyone know of a thread that talks about dating Bokers? I've heard some reference given to how the Tree looks.
I also just got a Joseph Smith & Sons "Celebrated Razor" wedge with barber's notch. It's a beauty, but needs some TLC and scales.
