Welcome to SRP. The SRP Wiki beginner's guide is a good place to start here. Following that there are many tutorials within the wiki on all things pertaining to successful straight razor shaving. Read my sig line below and follow the old barber's advice to avoid nicks and cuts. Works for me when I folow the advice.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Hello
Hello, pwntastic:
Welcome to Straight Razor Place.
The best way to start your straight razor experience is with a good amount of research. You have been provided the links, good.
Now the shave: Throw the clock away and proceed at a pace natural to you. A little bit at a time will do it. The nicks are expected in the beginning, and occasionally even later. Keep the pressure light and be methodical about your shaving.
Before you know it you're there. So stay with it. If you have any questions, please post them. Good luck.
Regards,
Obie
