For your viewing pleasure, here are a couple of photos of the two straights I currently own:

The Boker King Cutter 5/8 round point with translucent horn scales is on top.
The Le Grelot 5/8 french point is on the bottom.

Nice blades! The scales on the Le Grelot, seem to have an oriental theme(no expert, just the impression I get).The Boker screams classic razor. I dig the black scales on a razor. I've only shaved with a new Boker, but the old ones have a great reputation. Who did the scales on the Le Grelot?

I am unsure at this point. I traded to get the Le Grelot, and I didn't keep the PM that indicated who did the work on it. I wasn't a huge fan of the reddish pink scales at first, but it has grown on my over time.

I also am from Michigan. What area are you from? I think Michigan is starting to contribute a lot of membership here.

I have been toying with the idea of pulling together a Michigan Straight Razor Shavers get together. I'm not sure how many people would be interested, but I have PMd a number of Michigan members and there is some very good knowledge in our state that might be shared in person.
