Thanked: 0Greetings from Indianapolis
Hello all, I've just started using a straight blade and have realized everything i've read about there being a somewhat steep learning curve is absolutely true. My several nicks will testify to that. Every time i leave the bathroom sink with a little drop of blood on my face, my wife asks me why i'm doing this. If you're reading this, you already know the answer. Thanks SRP for all the helpful information. With your help, i believe I'm on my way to becoming a life long straight razor shaver.

Clayton,
Welcome to SRP from yet another Indianapolis resident. I hope that your sojourn in the world of straight razor shaving will be an enjoyable one.
If you have any questions about straight razor shaving, consult the SRP wiki or feel free to leave a query in one of the SRP forums. There is always a Mentor, Moderator or just plain old member lurking on the board to respond. And when your Razor Acquisition Disorder (RAD) kicks in you can always add to your str8 razor collection by visiting the SRP "Classifieds."
Don't worry too much about the nicks, they come with the territory. Use your styptic and a touch of antibiotic cream or ointment and shave on...
BTW...There is a group called "Hoosier Shavers" here at SRP. If you are so inclined, we'de love to have you sign on.
