    Ahoy! First off, the pronunciation of my handle. Malachi is Ma-la-kai. Eternal shouldn't pose a problem. ^^'

    I'm a 27 year old male living in Minnesota with a ferocious beard. I'm not so much a fan of beards as I am NOT a fan of shaving. My facial hair grows in thick and quickly, so shaving is more of a chore than anything.

    I am intrigued by the straight razor. I'm a fan of blades in general, but the straight razor shave has a certain allure. Nothing like handling an extremely sharp blade in a masterful fashion to do a mundane task. The task itself becomes more than a chore simply by the change of approach. I mean, anyone can get by with a safety razor, but a straight requires so much more. And then there is the benefit of having a much closer shave.

    So I've begun to lurk the forums; looking up how-to guides and reading testimonials. I haven't decided to buy a straight just yet, but I seem to be headed down that path. ^^'
