Good Evening
Hi all,
I don't know how much I will add to the forum; although I will definitely be looking around as I start my journey tomorrow morning. I have already read the sticky post welcome and first shave along with a a basic guide by Christopher Moss, so I shouldn't kill my self the first time out.
A bit about me I am somewhat reserve person; however, that does not keep me from doing crazy things like walking up a scree slope and almost being killed/serious hurt in a small rock slide. I tend to watch and act more then comment (hence my first sentence). I value my privacy and I don't trust the internet in general so I will keep some information to myself even though I am sure you are all good people. I like to help other people and will bend over backwards to help my friends. I like working with my hands and figuring out how things work; its too bad engineers work more with models and numbers then their hands. On the other hand it cause me to take up fun pursuit like this or knot tying.
I have never been quite committed enough to buy a razor myself. So, my brother bought one for my birthday. I am looking forward to learning especially because I am dissatisfied with the closeness of my current razor. It does not help that I replace the cartage every month or two (silly me) and that I have a very dark brown/black hair.
Well this is getting a bit long; so, have a good night (or morning/afternoon).
W.N.

Welcome to SRP. Glad you've already done the homework and are ready to start. Read my sig below to avoid nicks and cuts. If you're razor wasn't honed professionally give it a try anyhow. If it is good that is fine but if it isn't do yourself a favor and send it out to one of the members in the classifieds who will hone it for a nominal fee.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Welcome to SRP! I think you will like it here.
