Thread: Hello

Hello all. I found this forum recently while doing research about straight razors. I'm 28 and have been very interested in becoming a part of the straight shaving world for a few months now. I hope to learn a lot about straight razor shaving while I'm here (including getting advice about my first razor), and hopefully one day I can contribute.

Hello and welcome to SRP. How far along your journey are you? Are you getting close to aquiring your first set or do you already have equipment?

You will really enjoy it here at SRP. I am convinced that if you can't learn this art from the people here, it ain't gonna happen.

At this stage I have not bought any thing yet, but have spent a good deal of time researching. Reading the Wiki here, the FAQ, and advice articles elsewhere on the net.

Here's my first question. I'm thinking of getting a razor from the classifieds here. Would it be bad form to start a thread about a classified ad asking whether it's a good razor to buy?
