    Talking Newbie Here

Hello Gents. I'm looking to buy a razor soon, just looking for the right one. Like most of the new guys, I've been reading your posts, studying the beginner threads and learning a lot. Can't wait to get into straight razor shaving. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

    welcome to srp

don't forget the strop as well. a razor without a strop is only good for a couple of shaves.

Welcome to SRP. If you haven't already done so check out the SRP Wiki beginner's guide in the link in my sig line below. Among many other things is a list of razors to avoid so you don't get stuck. Literally or figutatively.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Welcome!

It sounds like you're doing your homework, which is great..! Make sure you get a good shave ready razor and a good quality strop when you begin and take it slow as you learn.

Good luck and keep us posted!
