Default Hello all, from the promissed land of Swedish steel...

    Hey Everyone!

My name is Mikael and i live in Sweden and I´m a razorholic . Been wet shaving for a long time, but I´m fairly new to straights, even though I have ... to many straights . I´ve been lurking here for while and find the info and community to be very nice . Please don´t let me buy anything, I don´t need more stuff + my wife don´t find it constructive .

Then it's most appropriate for me to welcome you. Your Swedish steel is some of my favorite kind. You can't have too many tools. You'll find easy agreement here and lots of information to counter your wife's reluctance...

Welcome to SRP Mikael. I hate to disagree with you in your introduction but no one can have too many razors I love the Swedish steel too. Whether in vintage razors or knives. Smooth shaving to you.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Well, thank you Mike! Yes, I find the Swedish blades to be very good and I think a good mix of the best from English and German straights - very good quality steel, like the English Shieffeild steel and very good construction of the blade, like many of the Solingen straights. Even though I also love the English/Sheffield "look" and weight, with barbers notch especially. But I also love the effective German rasiermessers also ... OK, I like them all

See, you really are like all the rest of us.

It's just a little pinprick... we've all been there.

Hello & welcome to SRP! You're a lucky man. I have developed an unhealthy desire for Heljestrands recently!

    Hej och velkommen!

    Nice with more Scandinavians here!

We even have a Nordic group.

I love my Berg and Heljestrand razors.

Welcome to SRP! Too many razors..... that's almost like saying too much money; it might be possible, but I don't know anyone who's in THAT category! As Obi 1 would probably tell you, "Search your feelings Mikael, you know it to be true, no one can have too many razors."
It will be fun trying though! Again, welcome!
