Thanked: 0Hello from Norfolk
Hello everybody,
My name is David and I am an engineering student. I have two boys; ages 3 and 5. They keep me busy. When I did shave using the multiblade razors I found them uncomfortable. I can not grow a full beard so need to shave to look nice. At the moment I am using an electric trimmer and it is not much better then the multiblade razors. Well I am off to read the beginner's guide.

Welcome!
You're in the right place for sure to get started with straight razor shaving. There are links in my sig line to the various Wiki articles.
As you're UK based, check out strop-shop.co.uk and theinvisibleedge.co.uk for strops and razors. There are also companies like Trumpers, Mitchells Wool Fat, Taylors of Old Bond street and others who are UK based and sell a wide range of soaps, balms and brushes.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanked: 0Thanks for the warm welcome.
Stubear that is some good information but as I am in Norfolk, Virginia in the United States I will probably not use it. You get an A for effort and a gold star in my book though.
