    Default Greetings from North Carolina

New to the forum, new to straight razors.

I've inherited an old Clauss and have decided to start switching to straight razors. I'm on a tight budget and the blade is in decent shape (no rust or pits, only discolorization and gunk buildup) so I'd like to see if it's possible to restore its sheen, have it professionally honed and then start slowly making the switch.

Any Advice? Anyone local to the piedmont or triangle?

Welcome to SRP. There is an SRP meet scheduled in the near future. Asheville I think. If you can make it to that you would leave with your razor better than new unless I miss my guess.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
