Greetings from Massachusetts
Hello All,
I've been thinking about learning how to shave with a straight razor for some time now. I recently found out that a friend from the fly fishing club that I belong to shaves with a straight razor, so I thought I would take the leap and pick his brain for information about it.

Greetings from Massachusetts
Hello, Bamboozle:
Welcome to Straight Razor Place. Once you embrace straight razor shaving, you will enter a fascinating world.
Now, before you do anything, please peruse the wealth of information provided in the Wiki. You'll find a large amount of informational and tutorial material, everything you need to know to get started.
Whatever you do, please refrain from buying your first razor on E-Bay. Later, when you have learned about the world of straight razor shaving, perhaps. For now, read on. For your equipment and products, the vendors you see on SRP have everything you need. Also, you may look in the Classifieds for razors and products.
After your initial reading and research, if you have questions, please post them and you'll have your answer in no time at all. We're all here to help you get started and mentor you as long as you find it necessary. Good luck. We're delighted to have you with us.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 17Hey dude! Glad you made it here! Guys - *I* am his friend from the Fly Fishing Club! LOL!
I am going to let him try a coupla my razors, and help him into The Addiction.
Lynn - remember the Full Concave I got from you way back when? Still rocks! I may let him begin with that - it's a nice smooth 5/8 full concave. Holds a great edge!
Hope you are ALL well, and advancing both the art, and your own skills!
