Hello from Yakima
Well I guess I may be a little odd I am a women my husband is encouraging me to use a straight razor he helped me the first time and I enjoyed it love that I got little to know razor rash and only a couple nicks. I am very interested in continuing to work on it but am very curious
If there is a such thing as a short blade that would be easier for legs ? Has any one tried shaving your under arms and had any success that kinda scares me more then my legs

Came to torment your husband huh.
Welcome aboard!! I think LR Harner makes some short blades, or you could have your husbands best razor modified to suit your purpose

Short or shortened blades sometimes surface when an
antique razor has problems and is shortened or cut back
to remove the problem. After the blade is cut back and
polished a new handle is fitted and applied.
Starting with something like ebay 200472635647
a handful of folk here could make you a fine "short" razor.
I do not know what they would charge but these
busted blades come up once a week so you have time to
watch and ask questions and decide if this is worth doing.
Ask questions in the ladies corner. Good shave soaps and lather
tricks go a long way to improving any shave...
We tell guys to start slow and shave the easy bits first.
Do the same...

Welcome nanna! No you are not odd at all It's nice to see another lady hanging around the boards. Personally I do have a couple of shorter blades. Torrey Little Guards that are shorter blades that I like, but my go to razor is a Torrey 5/8 muted point razor. It's tip is rounded off just enough so I don't slice myself while doing around my ankles and knees. I will admit though I still use a DE for underarms. I haven't gotten brave enough to work with a straight there.
Please feel free to drop by the ladies forum and let me know if you have any questions.
Congrats and enjoy!!
