    Default Hello from Chicago

    Hello,

I am from Chicago, and I just began straight shaving this week with a Theirs Issard that I bought from The Art of Shaving Store here. I realized that the razor is not sharp enough to really shave with, so I am not quite sure what to do.

Have a great day, and Thanks for the help.

    Welcome to the site!

The first thing to do is to contact the vendor and see what they can do for you. I think I've seen your other thread on getting your razor shave ready and there is some good advice in there, and I think Onimaru55 linked you to the members services so you can contact a pro honer if you have doubts about the edge.

If you havent already, check the Wiki and other articles linked in my sig as they will really help you on your way.

Good luck and keep us posted!

    Hi,
If you bought a modest razor from the classified you would have a good bench mark to judge your new TI with. If one shaves well and not the other, dull razor. If both razors don't perform, it's you. Even if it's you, your razor will need to be honed eventually. It's nice to still have a razor to shave with while one is out for honing. Good luck whatever you do.
