Thanked: 0Konichiwa from Japan
Hi guys!
I used to shave with the Gillete fusion and similar shavers and they would last around two shaves at best for me. Also I always had small cuts on my face after shaving with them so it looked like I was using a chainsaw for shaving.
Then I stumbled upon this forum and bitten the bullet and bought Merkur Vision 2000. At first I didn't have problems, but still from time to time there are some cut places. I also started using feather razors in it.
I still need to buy the shaving brush and some decent shaving cream and aftershaving cream. Currently I use canned shaving foam and apply it by my hands...
well.... see you on the forums guys!

Thanked: 1371Welcome to SRP Shef!!!
Be sure to read the Wiki, you'll find tons of useful information there.
Don't be afraid to become an active member... start asking questions (though, it is nice if you read the wiki and search the forums before asking) and share your experiences as you gain wetshaving experience.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

おにちわ。はじめまして。ビルです。よろしくおにがいします。
Glad you found the site. I started using a DE (Muhle R89) back in March/April. The learning curve was difficult, but manageable. I found this site a few weeks ago and now I'm using a straight razor. You'll find a lot of advice and assistance here and from the members. Enjoy and let everyone know how it goes for you!

Irrashaimase Shef san !
Smooth shaves & have fun !The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Hi Shef, welcome to SRP. Read my sig below to avoid nicks and cuts. It is advice for using a straight razor but should apply to shaving with a Merkur Vision too.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

And whereabouts are you? I'm in Yamaguchi prefecture, down by the Seto Inland sea.
Have a great one, and keep cool!
