Hi All
New member here, although I have been lurking for about a month now - learned a great deal of interesting stuff on this forum (thanks!). I've only done about 8 straight razor shaves and I'm really enjoying it. Have been avoiding ebay like the plague, but decided to bite the bullet and start buying some old razors to restore. It's been pretty awesome so far.

Its nice to hear that you are off to a good start, as far as ebay goes "caveat emptor" and good luck!
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Hi All
Hello, TDF:
Welcome to Straight Razor Place. Stay focused. If you plan to buy off E-Bay, be extra cautious.

Welcome!
Nice to see you jumping in with both feet..! +1 on taking care on eBay. Its easy to get sucked into a bidding war, or pick up a duff razor. Check out the Ebay 101 thread in Auction talk for examples of what to look for.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Welcome along!
Ebuy is fine if you use your head & control your heart. If you're sensible, you'll mostly be fine. Even an expert can get stung every now & then though!

happy for you
Im glad to see your off to a good start, have you tried antique stores for old razors ive seen a few ones that would make good restoring projects if you have the skill needed to do it. persionally i would never even look at an ebay razor because i cant hold it in my hand and inspect it myself.but thats just me lol
