Hello from some new kid
Hi everyone! I'm completely new to the straight razor world, just got interested in the idea of it recently and started doing research. I found SRP in a google search and ended up reading a bunch of the beginner guides in the wiki, so I figured I'll probably be coming back here a lot! I'm not using a straight razor yet, saving up the money to get a razor and accessories (college kid, not a lot of spare cash). So for now just hi and I'm looking forward to interacting with you all!

Welcome to the site!
It sounds like you are already doing your research, which is great. That will really help you on your way..!
In terms of kit, check out the classifieds here as you will find many great razors there for excellent prices. There is also other kit available there, such as strops and other items.
Have a look in the vendors corner as well, as several vendors do beginners kits (SRD for a start have an excellent variety of beginners options) and it is possible to get started for a very reasonable price!
Other than that, pull up a chair and make yourself at home..!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Welcome to SRP. I'm not clairvoyant but I have a feeling you're into vinyl records ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Haha, not quite. Although I did try using records several years ago when I found out a piece of my parents' furniture was actually a record player, but it was broken so the experiment ended there.
And thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
